Welcome! I would like to share a little about me, and Green Briar Photography. I am a teacher, mother to four amazing kiddos, photographer, wife of a coach, and supporter of all the activities our kids are involved in.
About me...
I routinely say that I love capturing the real moments in life. Pretty posed pictures are also lovely, and I can do those too, but the ones that have mood, drama, and movement are the ones that speak to me. I get emotional when I see pictures of things that I want to remember in 5, 10, 30 years from now. I cry often, for happy and sad moments, and I am OK with that at this point in my life. My children know this, my husband knows this, and my students know this as well. I am human. Some of my favorite photos, of my own children, are the ones I can't see their face. I am a lover of black and white photos.
Covid 19 is truly changing things! That is an understatement. I've taught school from home for my own kids and my students, and I've struggled to keep it together some days. That is life. That is real, and that's OK. I've drank too much iced these last few months and reconnected with my family when our busy schedules grinded to a halt. I think families are craving photos of their loved ones that they can't be near. Your family photos are invaluable! If you get them taken, DO SOMETHING WITH THEM! Don't just leave them in your gallery. Make a giant print that is a focal point of your room, or a cool tiny brag book, or even a blanket or metal print. At some point, all we will have to hold is a picture of our loved ones.
Here you will find a sampling of some of the things that I focus my photography work on. I do lots of sports work outside of what you see here, so if you want to see some of that too, let me know. I have a crazy amount of action shots I could show you. Even though sports might be kind of on hold, life does not stop. Mini weddings are happening and senior sessions and family session. Let me know how I can preserve these memories for you and your family!!
